Appropriately challenging

The teachers did a good job of providing learning opportunities that were interesting for my child. This included giving him work that was appropriately challenging for his level of development.

Pursuing Academic Excellence

Cedar Crest students are challenged and encouraged to meet expectations of Academic Excellence. Students participate in setting realistic goals for their learning and are then provided the support and tools to achieve these goals.

Students are encouraged to meet academic challenges with openness, enthusiasm, and a willingness to solve problems. We recognize the unique gifts and potential of each child and help each child to recognize the strengths that come from differences. We strive to help children become confident and creative builders of their future.

Cedar Crest core curriculum is initially presented one grade level above each child’s current grade level and then individualized further. All curriculum presented is continually assessed and evaluated to meet each child’s individual needs and abilities. Specialist subjects are taught at each child’s current grade level and are also continually assessed and evaluated to meet each child’s individual needs and abilities.
