Linda grew up in Northern Ireland and went to University in Stirling, Scotland, where she received a B.Sc. Hons in Psychology. She initially worked as a social worker and then having completed a Management certification went on to manager a Day Center for the elderly. When she and her family emigrated to the USA in 2003 she worked as a teacher for Preschoolers with Autism in LWSD for 5 years and subsequently as a Pre-K lead at Timberlake Christian Preschool for three years. This is Linda’s second year as Director – a job she loves! She is looking forward to fabulous year!

Monae is born and Indiana raised. She attended college at Indiana University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education with a concentration is psychology. Throughout college Monae worked at different group homes as direct support for adults with special needs. When school isn’t in session, Monae likes to travel, go hiking, and go on adventures!

Jacki grew up in a small town in North Dakota, where her family still lives. She earned a BS in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University and a Master’s in Children, Youth, & Family Ministry from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. After several years as a youth minister, Jacki taught pre-k and kindergarten and is now in her third year teaching preschool at Cedar Crest Academy. She moved to Washington 8 years ago and loves spending time with her husband Brad and their daughter Noelle, who will be 2 in March. This will be Jacki’s third year at Cedar Crest Academy.

Keri Belanger

Keri was born and raised in Washington, growing up in the Bothell/Woodinville area. Although she is not a fan of cold weather, she is a big coffee lover! Keri graduated from Central Washington University in 2008, receiving her elementary teaching degree and has been teaching ever since, both publicly and private. She has taught across grades from Pre-K to 3rd Grade. This is Keri’s 4th year teaching at Cedar Crest Academy. She loves teaching preschoolers and the unpredictability of each day keeps her on her toes. Keri is the Lead Preschool Teacher for the Redmond campus and works closely with the curriculum and fellow teachers across all four campuses.

Outside of the classroom, Keri loves to travel the world and experience new adventures. She is a risk taker and enjoys the thrill of trying something new. Keri is very family and friend oriented and loves spending time being social. She is also an animal lover and shares her home with 2 cats, Piccadilly and Winston, as well as a chinchilla, Bambique.

Dipal Shah

I have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from India. I have helped many children in their early years to accomplish reading proficiency, Math Skills, and dexterity. I have also worked with many grade school students to succeed in their State Standard and Gifted Program Tests-CogAT, IOWA/ ITBS. I am thankful for the switch in careers several years ago and has been able to make a huge impact on hundreds of students. I understand more than 6 languages and can read, write and speak 4 fluently. When school isn’t in session, I like to dance, cook, and skate with my 7-year-old son and husband.

Cherisse Jensen

Cherisse graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor’s in Child Development. During her schooling, she had the opportunity to participate in a preschool practicum that she helped set up at her university, along with an interactive internship at a preschool in Woodinville where she learned the ins and outs of how to set up and run a preschool. She has always loved being around and working with children, especially the early development ages. This will be her first year teaching at Cedar Crest and she is very excited to join the team.

Cortney Drew

Miss Cortney grew up in Clovis, California. She received her AA in education from Fresno City College and completed course work in Fresno State’s Liberal Studies Blended Program. During college she played tennis and nannyed. She then worked for her former elementary school for four years before realizing she was ready for a change. Miss Cortney came to visit Washington for the summer in 2015. She realized that Washington was a life changing opportunity so she decided to stay. She now lives in Woodinville. Miss Cortney enjoys trying new cupcake recipes and exploring everything there is to do in the Pacific Northwest. This is Miss Cortney’s second year teaching Pre-K at Cedar Crest Academy and she is excited for the upcoming school year! Adventure is out there!

Joseph Schenk

Joe grew up on the Delaware River in New Jersey, near Princeton, and then attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges where he received a BA in English. Upon graduating he completed most of the credits towards a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. He moved to this area in 2010, living in Anacortes before setting in Renton. He has a daughter, Isabella who will be 3 in February. She is an incredible fun – loving kid who enjoys hiking, bikes, longboards, the beach, and pretty much any (reasonable and safe) outdoor activity as much as her dad! Joe also enjoys skiing, sailing, snowshoeing, climbing, singing, and theater. This will Joe’s second year here at Cedar Crest Academy.

Angela Chun

Angela graduated from Seoul Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea where she received a degree in Child Studies. Her teaching credentials and skills led her into teaching, creating curricula, and supervising at English immersion schools for 5 years. She earned a certification in Nonprofit Management and has spent a great deal of time volunteering with organizations such as Make-a-Wish Korea, Kids’ Quest Museum, and the Pacific Science Center. When she is not teaching children, she enjoys reading, cooking, watching Disney movies, and hiking. Angela loves to travel the world and is enjoying exploring her new surroundings in the Pacific Northwest. This will be Angela’s second year here at Cedar Crest Academy.

Alyce Partch

Alyce holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on children and education; she also has taken many childhood development courses. Alyce has over 20 years of experience teaching. These experiences include preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, preschool Director, homeschool co-op teacher and homeschool educator. She is sending her two children off to the 9th grade this fall and is excited to return to her love of teaching Pre-K. Alyce believes it is important to teach children a love of learning from an early age. This is her second year at Cedar Crest Academy and is excited to join this dynamic teaching environment.

Brittany was born and raised in the state of Washington. She recently graduated from Central Washington University with a double bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. Brittany has always had a passion with working with children and knew at a very young age that her dream was to become a teacher. This is Brittany’s first year with Cedar Crest Academy and she is overjoyed to be working with the Pre-K team. In her spare time Brittany loves reading and going for walks with her two dogs Emily and Gracie. Ms. Brittany has an undeniable love for education and strongly follows our schools motto of “Learning lasts a lifetime”.  In the future Brittany hopes to pursue a Master’s degree for Education, Child Development, or Psychology.

Sarah Rogers

Sarah was born and raised in Washington State. She has worked with children for over 20 years. Her education background includes a Bachelor degree in Education with a K-8 teacher certification. She knew she wanted to be a teacher as a child when she always pretended to be a teacher. Sarah has worked as a preschool teacher, a Pre-K teacher for 6 years, driven a school bus, and worked with before and after school-age children for 6 years. She was also a nanny for 13 years for one family. This is Sarah’s 3rd year at Cedar Crest Academy. While not at Cedar Crest, Sarah enjoys watching sports on television (especially the Seahawks), going to the beach, riding bicycles, attending sporting events, knitting, and watching or going to movies in her free time.

Diane is in her fourth year with our Cedar Crest Academy Family. She started in our Young Preschool class and this year (2016) graduated to Kindergarten. Diane was born here in Washington. She is married to her husband Matt, has raised two wonderful boys, Robert and Chance. In 2012 she became a Grandmother to Nicholas. Diane enjoys boating, white water rafting and spending time with family and friends. In 2008 Diane battled with breast cancer (winning). It was then she realized she wanted to do something more to make a difference in the lives of others. She walked away from her corporate career and started her search. This brought her to us at Cedar Crest Academy.  Her goal is to teach our children in a positive, loving & safe environment.

Christian Hernandez

Christian comes to our school with a variety of backgrounds working in culinary. He spent many years working in restaurants and loves being here at Cedar Crest to help serve our students. He is passionate about working in the kitchen and even more so seeing the faces of the kids every day. This will be Christian’s 3rd year with Cedar Crest and he is very excited to meet the new students in the fall.

Dave Sauter

Dave graduated from the University of Jamestown in North Dakota, and obtained his teaching license from the State of North Dakota. He’s worked with several school districts, one being Medina school district in North Dakota. He developed a new K-12 physical education program while he was there. He’s taught from elementary through High School students. Dave is the P.E specialist for all 4 of Cedar Crest’s campuses and is excited to be a part of a school that gives their students the opportunity to be involved in high quality physical education classes. His ultimate goal is to help all kids stay active and healthy for the rest of their lives.

Executive Director

Heather brings close to twenty years of experience in private school elementary education, where she has served as a teacher, principal, mentor, trainer, and regional director.  Heather joined Cedar Crest Academy in 2013 as the Director of Curriculum Development.  As Director of Curriculum Development, Heather helped restructure Cedar Crest Academy’s elementary program to make certain Cedar Crest Academy’s students are achieving academic excellence through an individualized, academically rigorous program and are able to compete on an international level.      

As Cedar Crest Academy’s Executive Director, in addition to overseeing the elementary program, Heather will visit all campuses on a weekly basis, ensuring consistency and quality in curriculum implementation and that all preprimary programs are adhering to Cedar Crest Academy’s standard of excellence.  Heather will continue to hone in on Cedar Crest Academy’s Core Values and Mission, ensuring Cedar Crest Academy exceeds standards, individualizes programs, develops and embraces the whole child, and challenges students to believe in themselves and their limitless potential.      

Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Curriculum from the University of Victoria.  She adores spending time with her family and being active with her two children.  Skiing, cooking, and reading are just a few of her pastimes.
